The "European Renal cDNA Bank - Kröner-Fresenius Biopsy Bank" (ERCB-KFB) was established more than 20 years ago in an interdisciplinary European collaboration of renal research centers to enable systematic gene expression in kidney biopsies - a unique archive of more than 3000 human kidney biopsies specifically processed for gene expression analysis.
