Inflammation and infection research at UKE receives 7.8 million euros in funding

A major success for research at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE): As part of an initiative to strengthen research-based medical specialists, the UKE has received 7.8 million euros in funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The "iSTAR" program supports clinically active scientists in the fields of inflammation and infection. The aim of the funding is to transfer pioneering research results into medical care for patients as quickly as possible.
