Multiorgan and Renal Tropism of SARS-CoV-2

A recent UKE-study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, indicates an organotropism of SARS-CoV2 beyond the respiratory tract, including the kidneys, liver, heart, and brain, which might influence the course of Covid-19 disease and, possibly, aggravate preexisting conditions.
