A recent study by Simon Melderis and colleagues in the Journal of Auto Immunity identifies AREG as an anti-inflammatory mediator of LN via broad downregulation of pathogenic T cell immunity. These findings further highlight the AREG/EGFR axis as a potential therapeutic target.
