March 2022 | New Publication

Wanner N et al., Nat Metab 2022

This work from the Laboratory for Molecular and Translational Nephrology describes liver injury as a frequent event during Covid-19 infection and shows that SARS-CoV-2 can infect the liver. The authors further characterize the molecular changes induced during Covid-19 infection using a multi-omics approach, providing potential therapeutic targets.
