Dr. Erfan Ahadzadeh Ghanad (Team Ulrich Wenzel) has received the MD award of the Cardiovascular Research Center (2019) for his thesis on "The chemokine receptor CX3CR1 reduces renal injury in mice with angiotensin II induced hypertension". The prize is endowed with 500 € by the Förderverein Universitäres Herzzentrum Hamburg e.V. and was awarded and presented by Mrs. Barbara Karan (1st chairwoman of the Förderverein). Due to Covid, the award could not be given until this year.
