This collaborative work from several groups of the Hamburg Center for Translational Immunology identifies activated, clonally expanded T cells with a cytotoxic gene expression profile in the kidneys of patients with ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis and demonstrates a pathogenic role of clonally expanded CD8+ T cells expressing granzyme B.
