EKFS Publikationspreis 2025
Dr. Felicitas Hengel, III. Department of Medicine, was awarded the Publication Prize 2025 by the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation. The prize, worth 10,000 euros, was awarded to her for the publication ‘Autoantibodies Targeting Nephrin in Podocytopathies’ in the New England Journal of Medicine. The work described in the paper provides a new understanding of the cause of autoimmune kidney diseases and paves the way for more precise diagnostics, a more accurate prognosis and cause-specific therapy.
